CHILDREN OF THE EARTH Children of the Earth, a musical by John Lisbon Wood April 17 - April 25, 2010 Directed by Corya Kennedy Channing Musical Director - Trish Hales Choreographer - Larry Colgan Costume Design - TBD Set Design - James Severa SYNOPSIS The Purdue Theatre Co. is proud to announce auditions for their spring musical Children of the Earth by John Lisbon Wood. The production will be a world premiere of an original piece of theatre described as “Cats…with heart and soul.” The Purdue Theatre Co. is thrilled to be the first company to produce this unique and engaging musical. This a family-friendly eco-fable, if you will, a musical of uncommon charm with a warm-spirited message. In it, animals --an ancient tortoise, a platypus, a lemur, a gigantic spider, a snow swan, a goat and a great jungle cat-- debate amongst themselves to see who will be chosen by the Great Creator to save the planet from the taking creatures (guess who?).
