Each season, NIETF viewers attend all eligible shows and submit their nominations. These nominations are accumulated until the end of the season when a special meeting is held to vote on this list, narrowing the field down to the final nominees in each category.

In September, the final nominees are announced on our web site. A final ballot is submitted by the viewers and those votes are tabulated by an independent auditor. The winners are announced at a black tie gala held in October.
